Kenny's Smokehouse
Kenny’s Smoke House claims to have the world’s best hickory smoked ribs and chicken, but I wouldn’t know. When I first started going to this little neighborhood spot, I got hooked on their pulled pork and haven’t ever been able to bring myself to order anything else. This reluctance to branch out hasn’t stopped me from sampling most of their sides. Cole slaw, collard greens, sweet potatoes, baked beans, cornbread…I could keep going, but I’d rather you check it out for yourself. At $10 a meal, it won’t cost you much. Just plan to carry out or go on a nice day so you can eat at the outside tables. Otherwise you might find yourself facing the unsettling prospect of eating a bit of pork while a pig looks down on you from a picture on the wall.
